Deltek Insight ’08 Concludes After Resounding Success

Deltek, Inc. (NASDAQ: PROJ), the leading provider of enterprise applications software for project-focused organizations, today concluded its annual Insight Conference at the Opryland Resort and Convention Center, and announced its plans to hold next year’s conference in Florida.

This year’s Insight boasted a record number of nearly 3,500 business leaders and partner attendees, who are involved in winning, planning, executing and managing projects of all sizes and types. Highlights of this year’s conference included two major product announcements with the release of Deltek’s Costpoint Performance Management Product and the announcement of Deltek’s GCS Premier 5.0 product. The company also announced the addition of more than 26 new channel partners since the beginning of the year, more than doubling the channel partner program. In addition, Deltek announced the sponsorship of two unique destination and collaboration on-line communities that will help users to grow their businesses, find new opportunities and access content built specifically for government contractors.

Representatives from small project-based firms to large, multi-national organizations came together at Insight to share ideas, network and attend educational sessions on Deltek’s portfolio of project-based software solutions, best practices and industry trends. Long-standing customers joined Deltek representatives on stage to talk about their experiences with the company and its leading solutions.

The first full day of the conference featured a keynote address from Kevin Parker, president and CEO of Deltek, where exciting product developments, market insights and customer success highlights were presented. Following the keynote address, Helen Greiner, Co-founder and Chairman of iRobot Corporation and Deltek customer, presented the company’s innovative products and unique business approach. iRobot is a provider of behavior-based robots that do everything from simplifying daily chores around the home to protecting our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Cognos Incorporated (Nasdaq: COGN;TSX: CSN – todas las cifras en dólares estadounidenses), líder del mundo en soluciones de inteligencia de negocios (BI) y administración del desempeño corporativo (CPM), anunció hoy récord de resultados en su primer trimestre del año fiscal 2005, que terminó el 30 de noviembre del 2004.

Los ingresos del tercer trimestre ascendieron a 210.4 millones de dólares, con un incremento de 22% comparado con los 172.2 millones de dólares del mismo periodo del año fiscal anterior. Los ingresos de licencias en el trimestre fueron de 91.6 millones de dólares, con un incremento de 26% comparado con los 72.6 millones de dólares del tercer trimestre del año fiscal anterior. Los ingresos netos del trimestre fueron de 34.5 millones de dólares, o 0.37 dólares por acción diluida, con un incremento de 42% de la cifra de 24.2 millones de dólares o 0.26 dólares por acción diluida en el mismo periodo del año fiscal anterior.

Los ingresos de los primeros nueve meses de este año fiscal ascendieron a 569.2 millones de dólares, con un incremento de 18% comparados con los 481.0 millones de dólares del mismo periodo del año fiscal anterior. Los ingresos netos del periodo de nueve meses fueron de 82.3 millones de dólares o 0.89 dólares por acción diluida, con un incremento de 50% de los 54.8 millones de dólares o 0.60 dólares por acción diluida en el mismo periodo del año fiscal anterior.

Adquisición de 15 contratos de más de 1 millón de dólares (la cifra más alta en la historia de la compañía) en un amplio espectro de mercados verticales de la industria, representados por Boeing, DaimlerChrysler, Dominion Resources, ISKV, Staples y Tyson Foods

Adquisición de 127 contratos de más de 200,000 dólares y 709 contratos de más de 50,000 dólares, con incrementos de 34 y 24%, respectivamente, comparado con el mismo periodo del año fiscal anterior

El balance general de Cognos se mantiene sólido. El flujo de efectivo de las operaciones en el trimestre fue de 38.3 millones de dólares. La compañía terminó el tercer trimestre con 439.4 millones de dólares en efectivo, equivalentes de efectivo e inversiones a corto plazo.
